These are two quickie projects I did this past winter that proved very functional. Both came from on-line tutes.

Needed a super small diaper bag now that my daughter is closer to being ready for potty training. I did it in a Beatles print since that were the inspiration for her name. For most outings of <3 hrs all I really need is a diaper, ziploc with a few wipes, binky, and a juice cup. This works great for that.

Knotted the way you would wear it on your wrist.

Reverse side with the binky pocket I added

This is a fleece poncho. I made one for my daughter (added a westie applique in honor of pup) and one for my niece (with a heart applique) They both adored them. Next I want to try the same tute in terry cloth with maybe ribbed neckline. It would make a great pool coverup.

Poncho AKA a chemical free sunblock for a naked baby

Sweetie doing the 'MINE' thing with both of her goodies

Tute Links. I did add about an inch to the knot bag pattern all the way around to make it a tad bigger.

I think the poncho's adorable and I love the Beatles fabric.  I've definitely seen it on Craftster before...  As a fellow Beatles fan, I have to ask what her name is.  There are so many good choices from their songs!

I'll make this fun for you. She has the same name as Lennon's mother. She is my ocean child.

Very nice!  I need to steal the poncho idea for beach cover-ups this summer - you're right - in terry they would be perfect!  And it looks so simple, too - love it!  Maybe even in a gauze, just to be lightweight for if you don't want to get burnt, but aren't wet?  Hmm . . . the possibilities!!!

Great work - thanks for sharing!

My daughter is also named after a Beatles reference: Prudence

I like the knot bag - I should make some more.

I make a smaller version of your bag and use it as a wristlet...mini wallet, cell phone and keys...and it works great! never thought of a mini diaper bag, great idea.

Julia!  Such a great name.  It's not too overused, but it's very pretty.  It also makes me think of the wedding singer...
