I keep meaning to post some of my projects, but haven't had time to put up pictures.  Here's a sweater top I made this weekend with the help of my slightly altered adjustable assistant:
http://www.bigbrawler.com/In-New-Sweater.jpg

I just draped and handstitched it as a quick weekend project: no finished edges, not tedious ironing, just a slap dash tailor's tack here and there.  I made it from an acrylic cardigan I got at a thrift store.  You can't really tell from my terrible photo, but those lumps on the right front are actually three red buttons.

Here's a picure of the full front:

and a slightly blurry picture of the full back:

That's really neat!  Wow!
Could you go into a little more detail?  What did you sew together?  What did you cut off and use again, etc.
Sorry to be a bother, but I can't quite tell with the pics.

I'm not sure what you want in terms of details.  Basically I cut the whole original sweater apart, removing all the ribbing, then I draped and cut.  I think one of the sleeves ended up being a back panel and one ended up being the pseudo-cowel neck front.  I frayed some of the edges for, uh, "artistic effect" as well.  I love draping, but untill recently I didn't have a very accurate dummy and it's darn hard to drape on yourself!

The skull banners were at the request of my boyfriend--originally we were going to mount them on bamboo like Samurai flags, but we're a little lazy, so I just glued some of the leftover red felt on the tops of some thumb tacks and stuck them up.

Oh, yes, those were the details I meant.
Thanks.  Cheesy
