I made this potted flower arrangement for a co-worker who's moving.  I'm thinking of doing something similar (but more elaborate) for a momma's day gift.

I made the pot from a 9 x 9 inch piece of scrapbooking paper.  You can learn how to make one here.

The flower is a traditional origami lilly or iris, which you can learn here.  I used a "regular sized" 15cm (about 6 inch) square piece of paper.

The butterfly is Yoshizawa's design from a water bomb base.  I like how it looks, but I'm not a big fan of the method... you can learn how to make one here.

that's beautiful. I'm sure your mom would love a paper flower arrangement. It would last longer than store-bought flowers, too.

I like the way your flower came out...and thanks for the link to the butterfly!  I've always wanted to know how to make one of those.
