Whoever thought Easter and Dia de los Muertos couldn't relate never met me. I've always wanted to try my hand at making sugar skulls, but never acctually got around to it - this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Using papier mache, paint, and glue (ALOT of glue, I'm not gonna lie Smiley) I created Lucy!

And here she is..

::squee:: I'm so pleased with her!

Here are her insides (although she wasn't pleased to have to bare it all for the world to see). I started with this great purple egg...

Her fab glowing eyes.. I used some vintage red beads..

And here are some side, back, and top views..

Hope you like her! Thanks for looking!

I was looking all over for where you used sugar. LOL. Since I used salt, I figured we were something of an oddity here. I do love  this egg though, and would like to know where you find vintage red beads like you used. Love the paper maiche.

I would never had guessed she started out as a plastic easter egg.  Great job!
