I'm going on a disney cruise through make-a-wish. What kinds of things should i start collecting for my scrapbook? I have the book, its 8x8.. will that be big enough?
i got papers and stickers, too. what other types of things can i get?

Whenever I scrapbook about my trips (or lately, just planning to scrapbook about them... lol) I grab things to use from the actual trip. Brochures, luggage tags, airline tickets, wristbands, postcards, dinner menus, hotel key cards, hotel room stationary, food packaging (especially from foreign countries -- I have an empty bag of M&Ms from France for example), embossed paper napkins (I've grabbed these from weddings and graduation parties before), etc ... anything that I think might make an interesting embellishment or focus piece along with a photo for an anecdote about the trip.

Did you get a letter or something from Make-A-Wish notifying you of the trip? I would definitely include something like that. Or sometimes our local newspaper covers stories like that, so maybe an article if there is one. If anything's too big to fit into an 8x8 scrapbook or if you don't want to use any original paperwork, you can always use a copier and reduce the size.

I tend to use anything and everything I can get my hands on that is paper and portrays something to remind me of the trip. I've even included the road maps we used (and highlighted our driving route on) as background paper before.

Good luck and congrats on the trip! I've always wanted to go on a Disney cruise. They look like a blast.
will you take me to gang practice? yis?

things i collect in droves from Disney:

-fastpasses that go unused
-maps...oh so many maps
-parking lot tickets (but i dont get them in WDW at all)
-napkins, menues, coasters...restaurant thingies basically

things i always include:
-1 disney dollar from that trip
-the tickets
-any cards/postcards that apply

supplies i like to have:
-papers, but i dont usualy use the Dis stuff as i dont want all my pages to look alike
-Disney 3-D stickers and other dimensional things that look great and Dis appropriate

supplies i must have:
-embellishments for the different themes (brads, clips, stickers, flowers, etc)
-cardstock...it is essential (i personally reccomend Bazzill, because i like the colors and the texture and the richness it provides)

i would say, keep a journal and at the end of the day jot down 3-4 things you dont want to forget (dont try to do a full entry unless you know its possible, i tried, and half my journal is empty...i was just too tired at the end of the day)

i think im back....9 months almost to the day but i miss art, and i missed you guys!

I've been on two Disney Cruises and I save everything! Here are things that work well to use in your scrapbook:
- boarding pass
- luggage tag
- any event ticket
- id card/pass (whatever they use now)
- room key
- island and boat maps
- event schedules in rooms and circle or highlight the events you did
- napkins
- take lots of pictures!

Enjoy the cruise! They are a blast if you participate  Grin
