This has been a long time in the making. (Click photos to enlarge).

My Freddie Mercury - Killer Queen afghan

It's so huge, (57" x 78"), that I couldn't even fit it all into one photo.

The right side is based on artwork by Lynda Pedley.
The left side has a portrait of him minus the famous mustache, yet, sporting a killer leather hat and jacket.

The afghan is tunisian, (afghan) stitched using my trusty size J cabled afghan hook.
Black yarn is Red Heart, blue yarn is TLC Essentials, the multi-colored yarn is called "Tapestry" by Simply Soft.

If the weather ever turns nice around here I will try to take a better photo outside standing on a ladder or something to get the whole afghan in one shot.

There's more photos of the afghan in my blog, (see link below), where I go on and on about how great he was. I won't bore you here with all my gushing but I just wanted to say what a fabulous and talented man he was.
There's no one today that can match his extreme musical abilities and showmanship.

Holey Moley . . . I just hit THIS ROCKS because it does!

I love the way the multi-color yarn looks all electric & pyschadelic against the black, especially in Freddie's name.  You did a really cool job on this all around.  Grin

P.S.  57" by 78"??  Shocked AWESOME!

No more blog + no more facebook = more time for crafting!

I'm also JenGoPop at Ravelry.
