I did this as my first embroidery project. I've done cross stitching before but I learned a lot on this!  It's Sublime Stitching Darling Dachshund pattern.  I can't do french knots so I used beads instead.  The lunch bag is from The Container Store if anyone is wondering

The transfer went a little wonky on this bit, it kindof moved under the iron.  Oh well  Smiley

What do you think?  Comments and criticism appreciated.  Thanks for looking!

I can't believe you sewed onto the bag! That kind of fabric would have driven me bonkers. I also love how you said "up yours" to french knots by using beads. Hehe.

Thanks, Thrynity, the bag was a real pain!! It has a thick insulation lining plus to make it even more complicated it had a mesh pocket on the inside of the side I was determined to work on.  At first I thought poking through the lining was going to end bad, but since I just throw my bag in the fridge at work it doesn't really matter.  And I did stem stitch (I think that's what it's called?) as much as possible where I could work from the front and not deal with the lining/pocket thing.

And after spending a full day of watching videos teaching you the french knot, and trying EVERYTHING everybody suggests, and about a zillion pulled through attempts later NO MORE!  Beads look just as nice  Smiley

What a great idea! I might have to steal it Cheesy Wink. French knots are the spawn of Satan! Very cute stuff!
