This was an experiment.  No pattern.  First time trying piping.  Love the way it turned out with one exception - the strap is WAYYYYYY too long.  Now I have to find a creative way to shorten it other than the ends because I have the little pink/orange stripe that needs to stay.

Lessons learned:
  • be fierce while manipulating stiff interfacing.  its okay
  • don't try to top stitch over piping.

That has got to be the most awesome fabric I have ever seen!! Where did you get it? The bag you made is great! It is a great way to showcase a large print fabric. You did a wonderful job! Thanks for sharing it!

I am in love with that fabric!  As for the long strap, I prefer my bags that way since I am super tall.  But the butterflies on the fabric and just the whole bag is amazing!

I love it! So colorful....great job on the piping! I'm intimidated by piping.  Smiley

Not sure I should give advice on what to do about the strap...if that happened to me, I'd just go for the scissors.  Cheesy

Wow, I love the fabric! It looks so fun.

I can't really help you with the strap, though. I have a similar problem with a bag I made recently and I'm just tying a knot in the top till i can get it figured out. );
