I received an awesome package from DesignVigilante last week, and I have been so busy that I haven't had time to post pictures.

DesignVigilante made me a project bag to carry my WIPs. It has a wonderful owl lining!

She also made me some wonderful washcloths. These are so awesome that I am kind of afraid to use them Grin

I really love everything and I am already using my new tote/project bag!
THANK YOU!!!!!

After much stalking of the mailman, I finally received today.  Whew, it truly takes the patience I seldom have to wait for overseas packages.  I love the magnetic shoping lists that Velvet Rose made for me.  I sent her my version and she improved it.  You so rock your papercrafts!!!  Here's the downer, my hubby took my camera with him to China for a business trip.  I get it back on Wednesday and will post my incredible shopping lists when he gets here.

Thanks for taking the time to craft for me Velvet Rose.

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you have sent and received, you have received feedback for this swap. Please remember to post in the gallery if you haven't already.

I've wrestled my camera away from hubby and can now post my pics.  Velevet Rose made me some awesome magnetic shopping lists for my refrigerator.  I love them and so do my girls.  Thank you so much for taking the time to craft for me Velvet Rose.

Cheesy
Today I received package from Eowyn.
The envelope was damaged, but I think nothing is missing.
First, wristwarmers I wanted - I really love this colour and pattern Smiley

Second, handmade notebook ( in the background) few booklets, lots of tea and sweets

Thank you Eowyn Cheesy

Still waiting for my package; but in the meantime I thought I'd post the artwork I sent Dragonmama.

She wanted a piece of custom artwork for her home. After looking through her wists and working on an 18th century show I was inspired to create this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v382/henabebe/artswap015.jpg

I call it "Rivals" it's a mixed media piece depicting the dark places we go when we entangle ourselves in petty rivalries.

Some process shots to show you basically how it was done.

scrapbook paper glued to a canvas.

I colored the whole thing with wax before painting a turbulent background with acrylics

and the rest is just scratch work and collage. Hm...the pics are showing up pretty dark, the whole thing is actually quite bright and striking. It's the first time in a long time I've done artwork as something outside of my job and I was very pleased with both the process and the results. So I definitely got something out of this swap already.
