I started swatching this yesterday, but was watching a movie and screwed up like 5 times before I gave up, I'm gonna reattempt tomorrow. The lace is very easy. I'm excited.

I have finally gotten to the ribbing section, but I have seamed it up yet so I can't try it on. I'm a little worried about the size though -- I didn't switch to smaller needles for the ribbing (because I didn't have size 2 circs) and it doesn't look very stretchy.

I know others have said the pattern came out too big. Has anyone tried shrinking their orangina in the washer/dryer? My yarn is 100% cotton so it seems like it would shrink, but I would be afraid it would shrink too much. Just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

I finally finished! I'm generally really happy with the fit, I did the size small and it's just right. the yarn is dmc cotton senso, 100% cotton.

But UGH -- do you see that horrible stripe around my waist? I bought the pattern and yarn in a kit, so I didn't bother to check the labels -- I assume a kit will all be the same dyelot. It was too late when I noticed that stripe was forming, and I thought maybe it wouldn't really show in the finished object. But it really does....and I don't think there is anything I can do about it. Dammit.

Lesson learned....check dyelots...

Beautiful!  But that sucks that they would give you different dye lots in a kit!  It kind of looks like it's there on purpose though, so that's ok.  Wink

Not a bad project to accidentally mix dyelots on, actually; if I didn't know better, then I'd say that it was intentional.  Kind of works with the rest of the top.  Smiley

Great job!
