Wow!  Those turned out fabulous.  I love the way you tied the yellow one on the far right.
All of those styles look so great on you!  I wish I looked that good in yellow.

Wow - those look absolutely gorgeous.  They flatter your figure beautifully and make you look so elegant - just as a dress should!  I think the choice of fabric is terrific - the plain colours show off the design so well and the fabric looks like it drapes really well.  I wouldn't blame you if you never wore any other dress  Wink  Total sewing success.

Re. sewing machines - tough decision.  I didn't have a lot of money to spend so bought a second hand Bernina 1630 (top class model when it was released back in the early 90s).  I was upgrading from a pretty basic Janome and I'm loving this.  It handles stretch fabrics well and it's fun learning what it can do.  It is quite a bells and whistles machine though (has embroidery units) so you'll have to think about what you'll want to do with your machine.  I think it's useful to try lots of machines out - go into shops and ask for a test drive or try out friends' machines.

Good luck!

there are some pretty extensive threads in another area of Craftster about picking a sewing machine.  i read through those some before choosing mine.  but i am not a serious sewer yet, so i don't have any great ideas myself about this, except get a sturdy one with metal parts but that's probably pretty obvious...
