I thought I was being so original, but someone beat me to it! Smiley  Here's my version of a swine flu mask.

Materials needed:
Fabric
Elastic
Fusible Interfacing (optional)

Cut 2 pieces of fabric, an inner lining and an outer lining (12.5" x 5.5")

OPTIONAL--
Cut 2 pieces of fusible interfacing (12" x 5")

Iron interfacing to back of each piece of fabric

END OPTIONAL--

Sew pieces of fabric right sides together along 3 sides (like a pillow case)

Trim corners

Turn inside out and sew opening closed

Pleat each side 1" at the center part and sew or pin to secure

What it should look like so far:

Fold front side over to back side and sew down.  This will make a tube on the side.

Cut 2 pieces of elastic (or you can use hair ties)

Thread elastic through the tube with your preferred method.

Tie elastic shut

OPTIONAL--
Sew a 1/2" pleat at the bottom of the mask to shape to chin

END OPTIONAL--

Completed product front:

Completed product back:

And enjoy!!! Smiley

Aww.  Yours are cute!
Mine were really simple.
I think I cut a 6x8 rectangle and just pleated it, bias taped the edges and sewed on elastic.

I absolutely love the first!  Cheesy

These are super cute!

However, if you also want to actually filter most all the air going in, they need a part at the top that makes them fit closely over the bridge of your nose. The other flu mask thread has a design from the CDC at the bottom of p. 1, plus (way down on p. 5) my longish post about masks/noses based on my experience of being immunocompromised.
