sensiblytacky I love your hair. I have curly hair and I could never get anything like that if I tried. My hair is really thick...so I would probably look really bad if I had hair that short. It's at my shoulders now, and I always wear it up. I look weird with it down. Embarrassed

I have been dying my hair since 8th grade and right now my hair is dark/ chocolatey brown.... it was black but it faded.  well.. now i want to dye it a light reddish blonde like liv tyler's hair in "One Night at McCools".  is my hair going to come out light enough or am i going to have to let it be darker for awhile??

This is the hair I want:

Only the top part would be light / medium brown & then the underneath would be purple, but the special effects 'joy ride' shade.  I <3 it!
Questions: Can you get the same choppy/layered look but make the whole thing longer?  I'd like to keep most of my length.  When I bleach the underneath (before I purple-ize it) and separate the top part... should I do anything special to prevent bleach getting onto the top section? Like wetting it or put conditioner on it or something?  Undecided

What do you think?

padray- I love that girls hair! I wanted something like that the last time I got my hair done, but it was too late. Cry Maybe next time.

Ohhh. Hmmm. Well my hair is longer than that. My real challenge is going to be getting it cut like that. I'm getting a family member (my husband's aunt) to cut it for me on the cheap, 'cause I'm unemployed now and can't afford my regular chick. Cry  The aunt's licensed, but I doubt she has done many 'dos like this... mostly old lady perms and the ever-popular 'mom cut.'  Wink  Cheesy

Bah. If it's not great, it's just hair.  It'll grow out if I hate it.

Wow that's cute. I think you'd look awesome with an a-line, it almost looks like you have one with the way your hair is brushed in that picture. Maybe like one inch or so below your chin in the front.

From the book Godless:

Just Al: I know that God is real. I feel his presence in my heart
Me: What does it feel like?
Just Al: It's hard to describe Jason. It feels good.
Me: Oh. I thought maybe it was like heartburn or something.
