I have a greyish carpet in my basement and she hangs out there lots... no pink patches anywhere. But like I mentioned earlier... I don't really have any light colored furniture so I really don't know. I mean I pet her lots and I don't get pink hands.... I don't really think it would rub off on furniture (maybe when she's fresh out of the tub, but after that it seems to be safe).  Huh

I dyed my hair green with kool aid once (back in a very dark time of my life when there was NO hair dye available for 1000s of miles) and i never had any trouble with it rubbing off on anything except the first night....but thats always how it is when i dye my hair anyway. If that helps you any?

padray, I used to use a little pre packaged kit by either Manic Panic or Beyond the Zone (or something like that) but that was when my hair didn't require very much bleach. This last time I did it, I just asked someone at the beauty supply store what I should use to make my hair as white as humanly possible, and she was a big help, so I would suggest asking a pro. And if you buy everything separately, don't pay attention to the directions when they tell you to get 20 volume developer--that's the sissy stuff. Get 40 volume developer and don't forget a toner to make your hair platinum, otherwise it'll be all yellow and gross. To keep the hair you want your natural color safe and out of the way I would suggest using a large hair clip to keep it all up and putting it all under a shower cap. As to the hair being crunchy, that's going to happen with any bleach, since it effectively kills your hair. To make it softer, I got a package of really hardcore, one use only conditioner to build up the protein and then another bottle of non-grocery store conditioner by Ion called "Color Solutions: Color Defense, Intense Hydrating Formula" or something to that effect, and smells like almonds. If you have a little more money to spend, Paul Mitchell makes a really good conditioner. I also use my cheap, crappy VO5 conditioner on top of all that, and it really helps to make my hair feel less dead.
