I'd like to try that with my dog.

I wonder if it would work. Probably not, but my cat is gray, so it wouldn't show.

Actually that isn't entirely true... the color wouldn't be as vibrant... but it would show.
My neighbor does it to her dogs... she even uses stencils and sprays the koolaid on.

redheads! i just thought i'd put in my two cents about the red-dye-containing shampoos/conditioners... i had red hair about two years ago, & the redhead shampoo that i got from my hairdresser gave me an AWFUL rash on my neck & back (where the suds rinsed down) from using it once. it's probably a good idea to test it in an inconspicuous spot first if you have sensitive skin.

naked_ninja that's awesome! hahaha so cute.

yup, definetly whipping out the orange koolaid when I go home for break.  Having a black and orange cat will be awesome (black and white now).

The brand of the product really makes a difference.  Like I said biolodge and farouk are really good.  I use them myself and on my clients and have never had a problem.  The only complaint I hear is that it will stain your hands.  A good product and the right application make all the difference.

How in the hadies did you get your cat in water???  My dads cat HATED the water.  Just a thought, did your cat lick it's fur a bunch after the koolaid?  I bet it smelled yummy!

jamie - your hair is wicked! I especially love the coloration.

I miss my crazy hair.  Black and white mullet-y thing just isn't cutting it for me these days.

Ninja -

Firstly, your cat looks sassy and fantastic Cheesy
Second, Melladh does have a good point, feeding your cat and making her fabulous are two different things, but i understand what your saying. I guess what would be importaint to mention in your post (to stop people ranting before they start) would be how your cat reacted to the process. Im curious!

- Did fluffkins there mind the water? or was she already used to being in the tub?
- Is it bad if she licks the water out of her fur?
- Will the dye rub off onto furniture?

And a question for my own devices- Would this work by spraying the solution onto their fur instead of putting them IN WATER ? My kitty lets me mist her down (as long as im holding her, and its close to her fur, and wont get in her face) so maybe that would work, since she is DEATHY AFRAID of the tub and large amounts of water.

Maybe I should stop feeding her too, since she doesn't tell me what she wants in her plate. Or maybe I should stop scooping her litter because she doesn't tell me when to scoop it.

Well, I'm not gonna argue about the koolaid thing, but those examples are a bit different. I mean you don't force feed the cat so to speak, you just put it on a plate and she can eat if she wants to, while yuo didn't make a bath of koolaid and just wait for her to get in Roll Eyes
And if yuo stopped scooping her litter she'd probably go do her buisness somewhere else after a while (not that I suggest you try.. Roll Eyes )

The food and litter thing doesn't suit your fancy?  Well how about this one.. My cat doesn't ask me to give her a bath, but I do because she smells and gets one too many hairballs.   Now just think of it as a colored bath. :-D  Sorry, just really had to take the oppurtunity to make a funny!

Though I do totally see your point about the sweetened koolaid thing.  People do at times view cats and other animals as accessories like you said, and it would worry me that some people would dive into it before assuring that their cat is unharmed (like not reading the packet or something to that effect..)

And I don't see a total shallow bimbo anywhere in that message.. opinions are good as long as we all respect eachothers.  Cheesy
