OK i dyed me hair semipermanent..blac k. and it wasnt coming out and i wanted my brown hair back. so i went out and bought color zap and dye. i zapped my hair but only the roots were turning out and they were getting way too light so we washed it out. So then we died my hair and now im a very dark brunette with orange roots and i just want my old hair back or something new i dont know. should i gradually go to brown or maybe dirty blonde by highlighting it every 2-3 weeks till its the color i want?

One day whilst I was walkin'
a-walkin' through the park
a hickory caught my eye
with the most attractive bark
nervous, i approached it
eyeing branch to root
anxious, can't believe it
THIS TREE IS FUCKING NUDE!!!!

so...
take off all your clothes and
find a tree to fuck and
wrap your legs

Hello all you people with fab hair, I need some advice, do you think I could pull this off (I'm the upper left one :])
 ?

my hair is naturally wavy and rather thick, so I'd have to striaghten it of course, but uhm..opinions.?

Oh, and speaking of straightening, I need a new iron, so could anyone suggest something that does't murder your hair? (I live in the US so preferably something I can purchase here) Thank You  Smiley

I think that style looks pretty cute on anyone. :3 I have a Revlon StyliX that I've been using for a few months--tis around $25-30 and it works pretty well. It's ceramic, which is better for your hair, and it straightens my ultra-fine but ultra-thick mane pretty fast. Although I will admit, I bought it because it looks spiffy. It's white, and the plates are red.

And veronika, your bangs are adorable. I don't know why, but you remind me of Amelie. Tongue

On the question about making haircolor last longer, when you dye it don't Shampoo right away, wash out the excess using nothing but water, and if the color comes with a color conditioning creme use it. Dry your hair off and let it just set there for maybe a day to let the color bonds completely grab hold.

BTW only do this on semi or demi permanant hair color dyes, with Permanant... just Dye it wash it and shampoo if you want cause it ain't coming out that easy.

Another good thing to do is before you do shampoo your hair for the first time after dying it is it use a Hot Oil Treatment. If you don't know what it is it sounds painful but it isn't. It's basically a little tube of soapy avacado oil, I'm sure it's more extensive than that, but... yea, You get the little tube put it in a cup of hot water, let it heat up, open it and you massage it into your hair.

Anyway. You can get them just about anywhere where Hair Dyes are sold, So good luck and dye away.

lol, I realized I just gave all this and advice and I'm a guy... *Sigh* Don't give me that look *Squinty eye*

I did that same thing. Once you've dyed over it, it becomes permanent, or at least takes a really, really long time to get out. What I did was I grew it out, then cut it off.

Have any of your ever tried to cut your own hair? How did it go? Do you have any advice/tips for someone debating with the idea?
