Okay so I went to get my hair cut this weekend.  I had had a perm done in June/July and it was starting to get really frizzy so I was having it cut really short.  But the lady that cut my hair cut out the majority of my perm but would not go as short as I wanted, saying that I have to grow it out a bit first.  Now is it just me or does that not sound utterly ridiculous?  And because I have NO SPINE I didn't force her to recut it.  So now I am stuck with either going to have the style done elsewhere and paying more money or cutting it myself ( clippers and scissors).  ARGH!!!

You should go back to the same place and have the same woman cut it again. You probably won't have to pay again, IF she wants to make it right. It's worth a try, anyway! Maybe you can tell her you want it that short anyway... idk. Good luck!

I know this thread is 'show off your style' but i have a question about mine and i thought you gals would be the ones to know.I have my hair cut at a shoulder length My hair is naturally a light brown and the most my mom will let me dye it is to a dark brown. She won't even let me dye it myself. We spend a whole bunch of money at a salon. I really would like something different with some pink or blue in it, but my mom would really flip. I would also like to do it myself because i always feel so guilty spending a lot of money at the salon. Another obstacle in my way to really cool hair is my job. I work at my mom's store and it is really conservative. I would just go out and do it but i like being on good terms with my mom. I was just wondering if you gals had any ideas so that i could keep everbody happy.


When this one was done my mom really didn't like it, the next time i got it dyed lighter.

Hello all! I've been reading these posts to get inspiration and I really want to cut my hair. I've had it short, but I've been growing it out for about 2 years now. Its a little over shoulder length and very thick and wavy. I really like Lizzy Caplan's haircut (She plays Kat on the CBS show The Class) I tried to find a good pic of it to no avail...but think dark (I will probably dye it) Shaggy layers, kind of a rocker vibe, with long jagged bangs. This is as close as I can find (thats Zooey Deschanel...the girl with dark hair)

i use punky color and manic panic (which fades out faster in my opinion) but i pretty much have to dye it alot cuz it fades out really quick.. any tips on how to make the dye last longer??
