I eat it!  But how do you get the blonde to stay blonde when you wash your hair?  What I mean is, I dye my hair black and bleach a piece in the front, but when I shower the first few days afterwards, the black hair dye always seems to bleed into my blonde, making it look dull. Arrg!

dont color it black and then bleach, bleach and then black!

Since it looks like a lot of you girls dye your hair black, what kind (brand) of hair dye do you think keeps your hair black the best?  Because I dye my hair black, but each time for the past 2-3 times, I've switched brands because it seems like the ones I've used so far end up fading into a dark brown really fast.  I used to get a kind of black hair dye from Herbal Essences that stayed in wonderfully, but my local store doesn't carry it anymore...boo...

When I used to dye my hair black, I either used Clairol Balsam Color or Revlon Colorsilk.  They both lasted FOREVER.  They NEVER faded.  I would just re-dye my roots every month or so.  They are both super cheap.  Under $4.00.

It's been a weird process but i finally found a color i like from my vast happy accidents.  Tongue

It 's all short now ( not that i'm hating it but there's not much more to do with my hair in this state >> scattered in 2-4 inch lengths) And it looks RAAR grr ugggh in the the sun. The weird part was i had put a dark purple dye over this pink dye and now matter how long i tired to leave the purple on it would not turn purple like i wanted.

Everyone has such RAAR grr ugggh hair! Here's mine again. First the old, that I posted way back when:

And here's what that grew out into. I dyed it a darker red but it really needs to be redyed, my roots are showin'.

Mind you, my bangs are not normally in my eye like that. That eye is blind, so I had no idea that my hair was in my face when the picture was taken, and then the camera batteries died so this was the best one I got.
Anyway, I really like how it is now. I started straightening it and ever since I've been getting mega amounts of compliments. So I'm doing something right! Grin
