What about keeping it curly and using product to make the curls non-frizzy?

I have a similar issue, and the last time I went to the salon, I asked the girl cutting my hair what I should use to lift at the roots.  She told me about this spray in the Big Sexy Hair line.  It's called "What a Tease: Backcomb in a Bottle."  This stuff makes my hair stay up like nothing else I've ever used!  I totally reccommend it.  Even with super ultra hold spray I could only get my style to stay for an hour or two, but with this stuff, it stays nice all day!  You can buy it at lots of salons in the US.  I don't know if that's where you are or not, so I'll include a link to purchase online too!

Hope this helps!

backcomb in a bottle is what it says: backcomb in a bottle. it's like teasing your hair. it's really good for lifting the roots

Thanks for the compliments on my hair  Smiley
Also, my name is Vanessa, I saw there is a Nesse on here.
I wonder if you get called Loch Ness,
everyone I know thinks it's the funniest thing to call me.  Roll Eyes

Yay for Loch Ness! Grin It's about an hour or two's drive away from us.
We did a survey in our RE class once. More people believe in the Loch Ness Monster than in God.

Egads! So many people with wonderful hair!

Hrm. I have recently grown semi-bored with my hair. I like it the dark red it is, but I dunno about the length. I had it really short for a couple years and this is the longest it's been since high school. My boyfriend likes long hair, but we have recently split, and while I like it too, it's, you know....(boring). I've always heard bad things about chopping hair after a break-up. Any suggestions?

Please excuse the under-eye bagginess. Insomnia's a bitch. You'll notice that my dog is passed out in the second photo. She's a show-off with her sleeping skills... Holy cow, I'm loving this photobucket feature.

I got extensions! Cheesy I know it's a little hard to see the actual hair in the pics but as we all know it is hard to take a picture of your own head Tongue

I got 40cm strands (120 of them) in black. My real hair was just getting really awful from going from black to blonde and back so it was really short at the sides, I think you can see the shortest bits above my eye level in the first pic. We just layered the long bits so that I didn't have such a mullet going on.

They were weird at first but I'm having fun with them now Smiley Really nice too because when you wet them and they dry they are naturally curly (although I don't have a pic) which is a bit different for me as my natural hair is poker straight. Smiley
