OK!

Here's the wonderful package that Jenicat gave me! I showed everything to Jenicat's brother, who is my FH, and he said "Wow, she made you a lot of cool sh!t, I hope you made her a lot of cool sh!t too!" So silly.

First, a group shot of all the loot!

Jenicat's daughter shows off my rainbow-themed Super Kitty!

Rockin' coiled rainbow coasters!

A super-handy rainbow hair-tie holder to keep in my purse (with matching rainbow hair ties!)

A crocheted rainbow purse with matching rainbow lining

An AWESOME rainbow coiled fabric bowl which is a featured project (I own a featured project! YAY! Grin)

Rainbow Brite buttons from my wist (I may have added them to my wist knowing Jenicat had a button machine Wink)

An awesome and super-comfy rainbow throw pillow

A "work survival kit"

with all sorts of useful stuff in it...

Jenicat's daughter grabbed the Tide pen, pulled off the cap and said "OOH! A MARKER!" and then went running off with it. I had to explain to her that it was a marker full of soap (best way I could think of to explain to a 2.5 year old what a Tide pen was) and get it back from her. She's the cutest! Cheesy

And then a completely non-rainbowy extra Grin

SOCK MONKEY!

Grin

Thanks Jenicat! You are the bestest! Cheesy

Okay, number one, I am totally in love with the sock monkey stamp. I'm just starting to get into stamping/card making, and I am wisting that sucker.

Also, the hair tie holder is a brilliant idea, and I might make one for myself even though I already have a metal one. A crafted one would be awesome.

Also, for some reason I am totally in love with log cabin quit blocks, so I'm loving that pillow, which is also going into my wist. : )

Aw, thanks!

mcbenno has remarked several times that she wished she had a hair tie with her (and I am guilty of this more than she is), so I thought "OK, this is simple, but incredibly handy."  It's just two pieces of fabric sewn RST and then turned RSO, pressed and topstitched, with Velcro sewn on.  I couldn't find my iron-on Velcro.  Roll Eyes

Simple, but handy!  I'll have to make one for my purse.  I made her two of them; one for her purse and one for that work survival kit (which she is already using!  I saw it in her cubby the other day!).  You know, just in case she takes the one out of her purse or something.  Wink  I was stupidly proud of this damned hair tie holder.

And the sock monkey stamp was from her wist, so if you want to wist the original one you can go find it.  I don't expect credit for something I saw elsewhere.  Smiley  I mean, I did carve the one I gave to her, but I used the design from the etsy shop she wisted it at.

Log cabin blocks are so neat and fun, that's why you love them.  They're like square spirals!  Tongue

Awesome rainbowy case with three compartments/trays and she even threw in some colored pencils Grin

wow that's a great bag!
and i like the pencil case - where did you find one like that?
and... how is the fabric bowl attached?  the sewing(?) looks invisible, that's why i wonder.

ETA i think i forgot to comment jenicat's stuff for mcbenno, but i don't know where to begin...  probably already hit "that rocks" on the bowl and coasters in their own post (like a lot of stuff in this swap!) and that purse is making me wish i knew how to crochet!
