My four year old daughter saw a commercial for the new Sketchers Twinkletoes http://www.skechers.com/shoes-and-clothing/brands/skechers_twinkle_toes/product/shuffles-_icies/lvhp/
and decided that she REALLY had to have some so when I found some plain white shoes on clearance for 3 dollars I knew what I had to do...

Outside of the shoes.

Inside of the shoes... I accidentally messed up and put the cake slice on the inside of the shoe instead of the outside but I kind of like it like this.  The other shoe just has clouds on the inside.

Fronts... I glued my fingers together... twice.   Lips sealed

Backs.

Cake slice closeup.

Cupcake closeup.

And that was before I finished painting them and before the jewels were (painstakingly) glued on. Cheesy

And that's the happy recipient.  I made the dress too so I guess that was kind of the inspiration for the shoes.  Thanks for looking!

Thanks for all the super comments guys!  Since she's starting kindergarten in the fall I figured I'd spend the summer making her a wardrobe that matches her personality!   Cheesy

These are so great! Beyond adorable. I like them way better than the inspiration, and I'm sure your little one does, too.

Those are great! Way to subvert the ads and show your kid that she can make cool stuff.
