We are used to Souther California where it's warm til the end of Dec, rainy for 3.5 months and then warm again.  We moved to Norther California last year and of course it was unseasonably warm this time last year, so when fall hit this year, I was a tad unprepared, thinking I still had at least another month before it got cooler.  Funds are a tad tight right now, so trying to think of how I could get some warmer outfits on the cheap, I decided to raid our Salvation Army, they were having a 'sale' on womens skirts for $1, so I picked up two cordoroy long skirts and one microsuede type long skirt.

This is the outfit I came up with.

Here is the before pic.  Long skirt, size 16.  I placed the pant pattern on the skirt so that the long side seam and hem coordinated with the side and hem of the skirt, 2 less things to sew.

Action shot.

Here is the green skirt.  Strange green and gold plaid.

No action shot yet, I'm in the process of making a peasant shirt for under it.

Blurry detail shot of the ribbon.

As always C&C is always welcome.

Wow. Those are way too cute. That's one lucky little girl you've got there. Even in tough times you know she'll be stylish!  Cheesy
