I've recently been getting really into making mini quilts. These are a few of my first ones. Looking after a toddler and running my soft furnishing business from home leaves me absolutely no time to get into anything bigger, so these are ideal ways to experiment with ideas and techniques.
The colour scheme of these is all down to them being made from off cuts of this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=293982.msg3342766#msg3342766 proper large quilt I made for my partner's Ma.
This one is about 9" square and is the first one I tried.

This one is a kinda IOU quilt for my parents. I'm making them a quilt for their ruby wedding anniversary but had no chance to finish it, so sent them this to try and assure them their quilt is on it's way. It's  about 6" square-ish.

With this fishy one I was experimenting with free form machine embroidery over the top of appliqu and patchwork, using the embroidery to shape and colour in the fins. It's about 4"x7".

This last one was my first attempt at a fabric ATC so is 2.5"x3.5"

I like it too much to give away so now it's framed on my work room wall.

I love them all, but especially the fish!  It's gorgeous!  Wow.

I'm in that mini art quilt swap right now too, and this is some awesome inspiration!  Beautiful work on all of them.  Smiley  You should put a link in the discussion thread for the swap so everyone over there can see them and comment on them too!
