My place is usually tidier than this.

I would really like to do this one but I am a little woried about my skills being up to par.  I can sew like a mofo but I have only made one very simple quilt before (it was a wall hanging with photos and such.)  I have never been one for rules and such so if i DO join up I might want to color outside the lines a bit in my interpretation of an "art quilt".  Ponder, ponder, ponder.......

The only thing I know for sure about my quilt is that it will be very "artistic".  I can't follow patterns or directions of any kind.  I just can't.  I can't do extreme precision work.  I used to sew traditional quilt tops for a company and my flying geese could frequently be found in the "seconds". Roll Eyes  Whatever themes my partner suggests will definitley guide me in designing, but I expect it will turn out more like an impressionistic interpretation of a theme, rather than a strong representation...

Yeah. I know I would appreciate it if my partner made me an object she enjoyed making and used a theme or technique she is really good at rather than if she tried to fumble through something specific I had on my questionnaire. The end product would just be so much better, you know what I mean?

In my questionnaire, I wrote that I am fine if my partner does something other than the themes I suggest and it seems like a lot of us feel that way so all you worriers just stop worrying and joooiiiiin uuuuus.....

I have that general idea about swaps.  I think that if people enjoy the technique or are familiar with the type of work they will enjoy it more and the end result will be awesome. I hope my partner will be the same Smiley

The only thing I'm really truely desiring out of my themes are the colours I picked, because I want it to match my craft room. The other things I really had to think about to even find something to put down for the other themes.

I'm the same way.

I'd love to receive something that is close to my "style" but I also love giving my partner complete creative freedom. I think it makes for items that everyone loves Smiley

And my skill level with quilts is def. beginner, but with sewing is probably intermediate. I think if I try to think less "traditional quilt" and more themed sewn item I'll do a bit better.

I can't wait to start crafting!!

You people are sucking me in!

I may be signing up for this one. I'm going to finish the items for a swap I'm doing right now, then I'll fill out the questionnaire.

I expect that the quilt I craft will also be more "artistic" in nature and that is what I'm also looking to recieve. Just because of the nature of this swap I don't think there will be too many color in the lines quilts  Smiley

I am so excited about this swap!!  I just signed up and I can't wait to get partners.  Shocked I guess this will give me time to beef up my wists.  I am also very flexible about what is made for me.  Grin
