I have a new plan. I've been thinking all day about this, and I'm worried my machine won't be fixed in time before I go up North (even though Mare Mare has given the ok that I might be a bit late sending because of it being broken).

I had a thought, that if I can pull together the cash....
I might just buy an el-cheapo machine from Walmart, finish the quilt, and return the darn thing the next day. I've already done all the free hand quilting (thank God), so it shouldn't take long to do.

hmmmm....

I've had to do the "buy something from the wal and return it after I've used it for a week" thing before.

I had to sell my computer to make some cash for a new one and didn't have any way to get the data off of it. I bought an el cheapo external hard drive and threw all my data on it. When the new computer came in, I moved the stuff of it and took the drive back to wal mart. They didn't even ask me why I didn't want it.

Oh I'm so good at this scheme.

In college (studying photography) I had a few projects where I needed rather expensive props. Such as perfumes. But who can afford that on a college budget when you can't even afford real KD some weeks? ha ha!
I would take them back the day after photographing them saying there was an allergy to the scent or the really nice expensive dress didn't "fit" right. lol. So long as it was undamaged, had the original wrapping, and I had the bill, places like Sears didn't give me a problem.

The name of the game is to ask their policy before you buy. One set of martini glasses I had to keep because I broke one. Someone knocked into my set. It's okay though, they're quite funky looking.

All in all I think I spent over 300 dollars that I never, uh... spent. lol!

Woo hoo! I'm all done and it's in the post! Cheesy
I have really enjoyed working on it but to tell you the truth I'm kinda glad to see the back of it.
One piece of advise I have is, don't go re-reading your partners questionnaire after you've sent your parcel away... I did that and now I'm really worried I went off at too much of a tangent with my design Undecided Well, too late now...

I just found out that we will be visiting the beach on Monday so I'll either postalize my package from the beach or wait till I get home. I would be that nerd who brings a flat rate box on vacation  Grin
