Details of swap:

There have been several scavenger hunts in the past but we’re going to do things a little bit different this time around. Each participant will suggest 1-2 items or themes (feel free to suggest more if you like). Example: You can suggest a specific item such as a 5x5 square of fabric, or something broader and more open to interpretation like something green. Then I will go through and select 8 that I think are the most unusual, neat, etc. but still easily craftable. When you are assigned your partners you will also receive this list (which will be a mixture of the options shown above.)

You will need to send an item for everything on the list. That means you will be sending 8 things. 4 of the 8 must be crafted, the other 4 may be store bought. One of the crafted items should be a medium everything else can be smalls. Remember that everything in the list is open to interpretation even the specific item (it could simply inspire your item not necessarily have to be a part of it). If the way you used the item is not completely obvious include a note explaining it. However, let’s keep things plausible.  Also, please don’t split up a pair of things that you would never use just one of and send it in for two different options.
Please PM your partner and the organizer when you send out your package and when you receive it.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

What are your favorite color combos:
What colors and/or color combos do you hate:
Favorite Sweets or treats:
What are your favorite animals:
Describe your personal style.

Any lifestyle choices that may affect what you would or would not like to receive?

Any thing else you'd like your partner to know about you?

They way I interpret this is that it is a 9 point plus swap.  2 points for the 1 medium item and at least 1 point each for the 7 other items.  It seems like a lot. Even the Mystery swap was 5 points.  If you were to go and purchase 4 of the items (to save on crafting time) it could run into $$$$.  In this economy it could be a dealbreaker.  I like the premise, but I think I will pass on this for now.  If this were a  5 point swap,   I think it might attract more participants.

I am so in!  I've seen galleries for previous scavenger swaps and have wanted to do one so badly!  I'll send in my info as soon as I think up some good ideas for themes etc.  And I gotta say, I'm glad it's a bigger swap, that means I get to do more stuff!  lol

May sign up for this later. Really want to do it.  I am already committed to two other swaps one is a 6 point swap due out 6/1.  I work 40 hrs. per week then come home and keep 8 yards up for extra income.  Go to the Lake on weekends so my crafting time is getting limited. Will keep checking in and see how fast I can get my 6 pointer taken care of.  I have some great ideas for that swap but partners are a day or so off.

For those who are scared about the point requirement, remember that as a scavenger hunt the bought items can also be found items and there is good chance that something like shells from the beach or pine cones from your yards might meet a category and  you could give them to your partner as supplies.

Any body on the fence, you should join! I think this will be a really fun one.
