Ever since I discovered that I make rocking pies, I have wanted an apron celebrating my baking ability of choice.  Plus aprons help keep me from being covered in flour.  I wanted something classic, with a feminine cut, so I felt girly while cooking.  I found a simplicity pattern that I liked and altered it slightly.  I changed the pockets and lined the bottom part of the apron

I made the pockets look like pie tops and painted the crust onto the apron.

This is what it looks like on, I may adjust the upper section as I am short and it seems like it is higher than it should be.

overall I am super pleased, and look forward to wearing it while cooking, though it is so cute I don't want it to get dirty.

Thanks!  I love that the appliques do double duty, so the pockets are nice and big

Amazingly clever to use the fruit fabric for applique -- I never would have thought of doing that!
