Iíve been busily making creatures for a while, mostly spirits or sprites inspired by nature, or other unlikely animals. Iíve made a few more that I havenít taken photos of yet, but when the weather improves Iíll get on with it.

Iím really into making things using fuzzy yarn of some sort or another at the moment, whether it be mohair or a novelty yarn.

This is a Tumpkin, a creature that lives in the woods. I love the shape of gnomesí hats, so I started with that, and this is what I ended up with.

I got some variegated yarn and decided that it wanted to be some sort of elephant. The colours made me think of the sky, so it became a flying elephant, with fluffy mohair cloud-like ears.

I bought this lovely green novelty yarn and just knew that it wanted to be hair for a tree spirit. I did his body with different browns to make it look a bit like wood, and fuzzy legs ended up being a bit faun-like.

I had an urge to make a cute little troll, so I used this pale blue mohair to make an ice troll. He lives in the mountains in the winter then comes down to see the flowers in the alpine meadows when it gets warmer.

I hope you like them all as much as I do. C & C are appreciated.

Wow - these are all fantastic. I love the ice troll... just spent aaages looking at your flickr and I love everything.  Cheesy

O/T - but are you somewhere in the UK? It was the daffodils that made me think you might be... if so, good luck with the whole 'weather improving' thing! But I hope it does... because I want to see more! Smiley

Your ami's are amazing! I love their originality. I haven't quite gotten the hang of crocheting with the novelty yarns yet.
