You guys could always go through the next IYP!  Smiley  It's a swap where you invite your partner & you get to pick the theme/crafts swapped.

Here is what I received yesterday from Scotskipper402!

Thanks a lot.  Smiley

A marinière:

I am just back from a trip to Québec city, where it so happened that I bought two marinières. But that's all right, I can always use more of these  Wink

A small piece of silk with a great print (about 15cmX15cm) and a pin. I am not quite certain what I will be doing with it, but I am sure I will find a use for it before soon.

A dress reconstructed from thrifted garments:

It fits well and is very comfy. Thank you!

oh i am so glad you explained that!!  that's such a good idea.  i think it must have been added while i was missing from craftster for a while.

ETA:
ooh that's a nice silk picture!  if it were mine, i would stretch that on something and put it on the wall.  of course it would be interesting sewed onto something, too...
i really need to try some of that making clothes out of other clothes thing.  i have been meaning to for years...

Yes the IYP is on round 12 now - I think superhooker starts them quarterly.

Great items Eloise24 - particularly the marinière!

Looks like nice stuff!

I got my box from batgirl today. When I opened it, I got a whiff of lavender, so I knew there was something good in there. Smiley

First, I found this cool little tin. Inside were little lacquered magnets. It's like a little box of nostalgia with all of the scenes from around Paris. So very cool! I just keep looking at them over and over.

Next I found the reason for the lavender scent -- a handmade bar of soap with a fleur de lis embossed on it! I wish the photo showed it better. It smells so nice!

And then, the very last thing I found made me gasp, it's so pretty and just what I've wanted! A French message board. Black velvet ribbons with different shaped black buttons. And the hanging ribbon says Bonjour. I really love it!

Thanks, batgirl, for everything!!!

A marinière...

A dress reconstructed from thrifted garments:

It was worth the swap just to learn the term marinière!

And just to defend my couturier honor, the collar of the black dress was thrifted, but the 2 black tees making up the dress are Store Bought, New. (and on big sale. So was the base of the marinière, sans adornment.)
