Outsider art is self-taught, but it also art that is "outside" the scope of fine art, but more than hand crafts.  I don't mean to downgrade hand crafts, but there seems to be a distinction between fine art and hand craft, and that's supposed to be where the outsider art falls.

At any rate, this wonderful lady has bestowed a gift on the world, and I hope it gets published somewhere.
