So, a while ago I did an inchie swap with the amazing malmow. Because I had no camera while I was making my inchies for her, she was kind enough to take pictures for me and crop them and generally prove once more how awesome she is, as she had already mounted and framed them along with other inchies.

Group picture of all the inchies - like I said, malmow took, cropped and sent me pictures, and I sort of built the group pictures, like a puzzle, in Photoshop. That's why the light, size, background color and angle may vary slightly from inchie to inchie.

Pirate/ship themed inchies. I made a lot of themed inchies for this swap! These are all hand-drawn. The two lower right ones are part of a group of four that make up a treasure map - I'd had liked to have enough swap partners to send a map piece to each one, but I only had two, so malmow got half the map (and, yes, one of my favorite movies is Cutthroat Island).

Vaguely music themed ones. I think that the lower ones, the pink ones, are a bit Marie Antoinette-ish, no?

Green-ish embellished inchies. The boat and the dragonfly are little charms, and they're probably my favorites of this group, if not the entirety of these inchies.

And, finally, more random hand-drawn inchies. The bird ones (which I'm in love with) are part of a larger set, but these two are my favorites. I really like all of these.

And, just for fun, here are some inchie bases I sent malmow to play with:

The spotty ones are mostly pastels and splattered watercolor, some ink, and the monochromatic ones are watercolored.

I love your inchies! I'm an inchie beginner, so I'm still exploring techniques- I hope you don't mind if I use yours as inspiration! I have no confidence in my drawing/writing, so hand drawn art, even only an inch big, terrifies me! These are lovely!

Thank you all so much for the great comments, guys!

of course I don't mind, I am very flattered that you find my inchies inspiring! I can't wait to see some from you! You shouldn't be terrified, inchies are a very forgiving form of art, you can finish them quickly, it's always easier to work on a smaller scale, and if you end up not liking one of them, you haven't invested too much time or materials on it!

Thank you so much! I was very scared of inchies at first too, but it turns out they're very nice and relaxing to make!

There isn't one of these that isn't charming! Your style is lovely -- they look so effortless and consistent. "Flow" seems like a funny word to use to describe inchies, but they all have a very comfortable feeling of continuity.

I can't believe I missed this post! Sorry I didn't have better pictures for you to work with, but you did a great job piecing them together. And I love my inchies! I still can't pick a favorite. You're an amazing artist and an awesome swap partner. Thanks again, Sinjah!
