It is a truth universally acknowledged . . .

I made these guys for a personal swap.

There's King Arthur, Merlin and his owl Archimedes, and a stone with a sword in it.

Just Merlin

Closer still so you can see the little owl

Merlin has a full wire frame in his body so he is pretty posable. I made his robes out of light blue moleskin and his hat and belt out of felt. His beard and hair are made of bits of white wool glued on his head. Archimedes is also made of felt but has wire feet so that he can perch on Merlin or be moved and perch anywhere.

Now for Arthur

There is a slot in the Stone (which also functions as a pincushion) that the sword fits into, but it also fits in the sheath Arthur has on his belt. The stone and all of Arthur's clothes are made of felt. Arthur is fully wired like Merlin so he's posable as well, and his hair is also made of bits of wool, just in another color. They were pretty fun to make, but I think my favorite was Archimedes (for several reasons, not the least of which is that he did not have tiny limbs to turn out!)
