look at my birds - they are oh so fab!

first up is from Vanyel, it's a great necklace in silver - not sure why it came out gold in the pic - it's beautiful and I just love it!

next is from crafty gurll - love the embroidery and the little clay bird is perfect! Very cool Smiley

and look at what purlgirlknits sent - it's the cutest owl ever - love the detail and comes with it's very own box to nest in Smiley

I received two lovelies today!

Here's the fantastic jackdaw from Avesthel:

Jackdaws are one of my favourite birds. They're a member of the same family as crows, and incredibly smart. (They can recognise their own image in a mirror, for example.) Thank you, Avesthel! I really like him.

The second one is from crafty gurll.

Argyle! I love argyle. Cheesy The birds are so adorable, and I love the little clay charm. Thank you so much!

SarahBlais, yes, April in Florida is me!  I think I forgot to write my craftster name on the note or packages.  Oops!

Foxlet, oh wow!  That was some FAST shipping to you!  I didn't expect it to reach you for at least another week.  And I loved learning about the Jackdaw!  I'd never heard of that type of bird before.   Cheesy

I'm so glad everyone is likeing the embroidered birds and charms I'm sending!  That was superfast shipping to Finland, I am shocked. Shocked  I received from Foxlet:

A vintage reconned bird with an origami crane.  I wish I knew origami.  Cheesy

The next from purlgurlknits:

Sophie the Owl, with a cool little box and some purple earrings.  Purple is my FAVORITE color.

Thanks girls, I love them all! Cheesy

Here's a much better snap of lukenlarry's owl she sent me. Isn't he cute? He's a two dimensional quilted bird with silver and pearl findings for eyes. He's enjoying the sunshine and blooming lavender on my deck at the moment.

I continue to be amazed at the variety of birds that everyone has made.  We are all some awesome-ly creative people!!!

I received this beautiful silk screened scarf from Kung Pow today, isn't it amazing?  My daughter tried to steal it from me she loved it so much  Wink

Thanks a million Kung Pow!!!

That scarf is great! Did you screenprint the birds on, Kung Pow?

I'm glad that everyone started receiving the packages that I sent out on Saturday.  The embroidery took a bit longer than I expected, so I ended up just framing them simply in some hand-made cardstock frames.

Can't wait to see the rest of these birdies! They are all ending up so different and unique!
