Acting like some kind of 50s housewife

My youngest sister designed the invite for my middle sister's wedding. I wanted to give my sister and her husband something a bit more interesting than the wedding list bowls so, despite the slightly complex rose design, I thought I'd have a go at embroidering the design.

And here is the original invitation:

I left it outline as I am an impatient procrastinator (aka I started it three days before the wedding Roll Eyes ). However, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out and my sister wants to hang it on the wall so I think she likes it too  Cheesy

Very original and thoughtful. I like your embroidery and the invitation.

What lovely work and what an incredibly thoughtful, heartfelt gift.  Your sister will treasure it I'm sure!

Beautiful. Maybe I'll do this with for my friends wedding.

Oh, and I love that you just outlined it. Sometimes filling stitches in makes it look cluttered.

I got 99 problems, but a stitch ain't one.
