Hello - I've just joined and stumbled upon this post - I'm from south london too - live on the 'west side' and work on the 'east side' but still never venturing north of the river  Smiley
Would very much like the idea of meeting up for a glass of wine and some crafty chit chat  Smiley

I agree it is a shame this thread is so quiet, there must be hundred of craftsters in London! I am in Hertfordshire (Bushey) but I can easily get into town and would love to meet up for any crafty business!

OK I'll add my name to the list of south Herts dwellers - I'm in Borehamwood!
Also a teacher - of Textiles - and avid jewellery maker.

Hello to everyone

Alison

I'm a Londoner! SE, quite far out though. I'm at University in Southampton but in London during the holidays. I would be very interested in a meet up!

I've just joined and I'm in London too! I grew up in Surrey but I'm now living in Hammersmith. It'd be lovely to meet some like-minded people here!

I'm not quite a Londoner, but close enough that I count myself as one. It's a lot easier to say to people I meet that I'm from London rather than "that bit that's literally on the very edge of SW London, technically Surrey but it's like they're trying to shove us out, near Heathrow" haha. It's easy enough for me to get a train or a tube into central London though.
If a London Craftster meet-up ever happens I'd love to come along Smiley

I'm Surrey too IzzyBee (Richmond's in Surrey but is also a London borough- not sure how that works!)

I love your owl avatar by the way, who's the artist?

I'm from Ashford, if you know it? On my postal address the county is Middlesex, but it technically doesn't even exist any more so we're part of Surrey. It's not that far away from Richmond Smiley. I'm in Cornwall at uni now though so at this very moment I'm not that close!

My avatar's a watercolour painting from 1506 called "The Little Owl", it's by Albrecht Drer Smiley

Paula, Sorry not to have replied - I've been off Craftster for a while as I've so busy. Would love to meet up and start something crafty in the Bushey / Watford area.

In the meantime:

Everyone, Sounds like there's lots of peeps around London who'd be interested in a meet up. I'm planning to go to see the Quilts exhibition at the V&A, possibly on a Friday evening. Anyone interested in coming along?
