The strap is perfect. I know it'll stretch, but even if it didn't, it's wide enough to stay on my shoulder, and that's all that's important. What stitch did you use for the bag? I've tried to do fancy stuff like that, but I always mess it up and can never keep it going long enough. I like the lining too. When my mom was looking at what I made for you, she kept telling me I had to get rid of all the raw edges, and I had been planning on it, but I love the look that the raw edges give the knit bag. It's a little bit of edge to something that could have been conservative. Again, I do really love it all.

I gauged width with myself. I get irritated when my straps fall off, so I made it thick enough and with garter so it would fit nicely and stretch to form. ^^

It's just knits and purls. ^^ I used the same pattern as used on this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299593.msg3417997#msg3417997 but did a better job on it this time around. On that one, it flips and looks awfully wonky until I wear it. Then it looks intentional. lol I recommend that pattern to anyone, especially uncertain knitters. It's the first pattern I followed successfully, and taught myself to purl while doing it. And it looks awesome when it's done.

I was hoping you'd like the edges. I originally planned to fold them over and even them out, but I really liked the roughness to them. :]

I searched Alice in Wonderland on Etsy and that exact fabric is gone I think...as I googled it and saw it sold out on 4/11 Sad  DAMN!!!!  Oh well....no money to buy it right now anyway, and I'm sure it disappeared pretty fast.
