phnxreign99 - Your towels are so cute.  The one with the pitcher and the cups always reminds me of the Kool-Aid man.

my husband said the same thing that it was the kool-aid man, lol I had been debating on putting him in but decided to go ahead.

Lilyvanilli - The towels you received are so cute.  I love the trim.

Those are actually the towels vmfein received from phnxreign99. I just posted the pics to the gallery. Smiley I love the Elvis tins you received!

Just a little bit behind in finishing my last towel...think we bit off more than we should have for a single swap Lily? Note for round 3... 5 towels are a lot of embroidery...unless you've got 6 weeks to do it!  Cheesy

Cheesy Indeed!

phnxreign99 - your dancing dishware towels are so cute! I love those patterns and the stitching looks great!

I received from kittykill today!  She made me some super-swell retro-riffic towels.

My favorite:

I love how the gun is "real"

And an adorable animated orange.  Ric-rac is one of my favorite things in the world!

And a sweet little mermaid with sequins for bubbles.  How adorable!

I'm also including a picture of the card, because I have a suspicion she did the embroidery herself.

Those Chinese lanterns are about my favorite sublime stitching pattern.

Thanks, kittykill!!!

And since I know she's had a challenging week, I'm going to go ahead and post what I have of pictures of my towels, even though they're not ironed and only one of them is complete.

kittykill likes pin-ups and vintage sci-fi/horror, so I think I found something that did good on both counts.  These are all images from vintage Katy Keene comic book covers.  I'd never met Katy before this swap, but she's my new heroine.

First, the robot

Unfinished-- I added some "nuclear dingbats" out around the edges.

And the cover, for comparison purposes

The Martian (finished)

And the cover

Finally, the octopus  (my favorite for sure!)

This picture is unfinished-- I added some waves and bubbles.

The cover

Cool!  I made the Best of 2009 twice!   Check 'em out!

I am so glad you liked them!!!

I have to give credit to the artist I found online, she has a blog: http://www.cakespy.com/ and sells stuff on ETSY. I emailed her and told her how much I loved her art and asked if I could use them, she let me for free since it was a swap, and I told her I would pass along her name and give credit where credit is due. her stuff is totally cute!

elvissatx - Fabulous towels! I love the little extras like the gun, the sequins, and the rick rack! I agree, the cowboy is my favorite, but they're all cute. That orange pattern is great and how cool that you got a stitched card! I love, love, love the Katy Keene towels and can't wait to see the finished products!! Your fill stitching looks amazing! How did you get your satin stitch to look so smooth? The robot's feet are perfection!

Craftastrophe - OMG those towels are too cute! I love the little knitter and stitcher! CakeSpy is an awesome blog, thanks for the link!

Okay, so I just found this thread. UGH! It has been a really bad week for me but my awesome partner totally made my week. I'm so glad that you like everything-I was so worried! I'm at work now but I will post my towels when I get home-they are on my camera. Also, my husband has taken off with the towels and plans to frame them for his office Smiley

Thank you SOOOOO much elvissatx! You really outdid yourself!

Everything is so amazing! We are one talented bunch!

I just realized - is the mermaid picking up fishing lures from the bottom of the ocean?  That's so cool!  Smiley
