Those turned out really nice! I especially like the birds-n-flowers design, but all are very nicely stitched. I also like how you trimmed them with fabric and rick-rack -- I gave thought to doing that, but since I've never done it before I didn't want Beetastic's towels to be my guinea pig Wink.

Beetastic received from me a couple days ago, so I'm gonna go ahead and post pics of what I stitched up for her. I took these indoors at night, so they're not the best pictures ever. Beetastic, if you are able to take better pics (ie, natural light without a flash!!), I'd love for you to post them Smiley. The girl with the fan, her outfit also has light-colored flowers on them, but they're hard to see in the pic of all three towels because I used my camera's flash, but you can barely make them out in the pic of that towel alone because I turned the flash off.

The ray gun girl is a Sublime Stitching pattern, and the fruit is an Aunt Martha's pattern. The girl with the fan is a design I found on Needlecrafter and modified a wee bit.

these look great!  where do you find the nice retro-looking striped towels?  or maybe they are really vintage?  i have one like that (with somewhat different stripes) but never found more.

Those are so cute - love the raygun girl.  And all of them look so nice on those towels!

I love the rick rack on the first towels, too! I always forget about rick rack until someone uses it and it always comes out so cute!

~Glenda - Those are great! I love the towels themselves, the stripes are cute, and I love how you worked with the same colors. The thick borders on the fruit look really good and I love the little stand your girl is leaning against! Great job!

Thanks, y'all Smiley. The girl with the fan is my favorite, and I really wish I could have gotten natural-light pics of that towel because I especially love the colors I used on that one. Lilyvanilli, you're right that I tried to use some of the same colors on all three towels -- it was the only way I could tie them together since the themes were all different!

nataluna, the towels are Aunt Martha's brand, and I find them at our local Hobby Lobby. I've noticed from surfing around online, Aunt Martha's has some other towels that are striped like that, but with different colors than these, but I haven't been able to find any locally or any online that don't have to be purchased in bulk. The towels are pretty thick with a nice weave for embroidering on Smiley.
