Wonderful job!  I love that you used Rice Krispies as the base forms, too fun! Cheesy

My daughter said it was great and my 9yr old son (who has been a Mario addict since he was at least 4 and a half) said it was cool. Cool

Yup - I decided to use Rice Krispies treats (topped with graham crackers) for the 'walkway' connecting the circular platforms because I thought they would be easier to make rectilinear than a walkway from cut cake.  (An added bonus: Rice Krispies treats are even quicker and easier to make than cake.)

A sincere "thank you!" to goldfishpollywog and all others for the comments!   Grin

Something about Nintendo... just grabs my brain stem and sends ripples of delight. Maybe it's the bagillions of hours spent playing NES in my youth?

Seriously though.  This is a little too awesome for words.

You're the BEST. EVER!

I could cry because my mom never made me a cake like this. I might have to copy it to impress all of my friends. Way to be an awsome mom!

Wow. That is very good! You indeed did set a high standard for his next birthday but if you had fun making it and he enjoyed it then keep keep meeting his challenges! Awesome job!!
