I wanted to do a piece for a gay couple I know who need to decorate their home and make it their own. I figured that I could give them a stitchery that would inspire them to create a nice space for it to live in. They've owned their home for at least a year and have done no decorating at all - terrible.

Anyway, I'm a massive Julie Jackson fan and her Homo Sweet Homo piece was my first thought. But I wanted to make something original for them and so I mulled the concept over for a while and came up with the following.

Yes, the trees are shaped like penises, and therefore are known as "Trenises"
And those are meant to be little birds that turn into love hearts.

It's all pink and sparkly and gay as hell. I think they'll love it.

Ahhh... The penis shaped tree. Also known as a "Trenis", this tall, oddly sexual-shaped woody growth is popular in the imaginary yards of gay couples.

In short: excellent.

When she was good, she was very very good - but when she was bad she was fabulous.

I've a sudden interest in gardening...

Another awesome piece, X!  They've not decorated... are you sure they're gay?  Are they just bucking stereotypes?
