I want to make something for my boyfriend.  He's very indie/rock, very involved in the kitchen and very atristic.  I need some inspiration, because coming up with brilliant and original ideas isn't my thing, although I can follow any directions.  I've already made him a stuffed animal based on his favorite webcomic.  Any suggestions?

since he's really involved in the kitchen, maybe make him a super snazzy apron. Maybe you could take a really large shirt of a band he likes, or get some fabric and stencil on a logo/character he likes?

If he likes the kitchen.. maybe a recipe tin with blank recipe cards.. or make some cards with recipes on them that you think he might like.
The apron is  a great idea, too. What about a little gift basket thing ..
You'll have fun Smiley

What about a regular Tool belt that is fixed up with kitchen goodies - and a hammer. I wonder if you looked in Home Dept if you could find tools that would function as kitchen utensils.

Possibilities -
The Hammer because that fixes all.
Spatula replaced by a trowel
Potholders replaced by Heat resistent gloves
Boxcutter for paring knife
paint stirrer for wooden spoon
I'm running dry here, but you get the idea. It should be easy in the store, just check all the aisles, there are so many gadgets you should be able to do this.

Enjoy, Beth
