So this was my first try at free embroidery. I think it turned out pretty well...

I got my image from this booklet type thing:

It's this old series from when I lived in France. I only have issues 2 and 3, and I can't find anything on the internet about it.  Sad 
The cherries names are Grioti and Griota. I assume they always stand in that order, too.

So what do you think??

what exactly is free embroidery? I'm guessing it's without a pattern..? Does that mean you draw the picture of the fabric or not...?  Huh

I think free embroidery is just whatever isn't cross stitch. I could be making that up though! I did trace the image onto my cloth, however. It was pretty easy because the cloth is kinda thin and I could see the picture right through it.
