I received my last post card today.  My mailbox is going to be very lonely.

it's also my last card

the way we treat the world scares me. i'm afraid we'll destroy it, sooner rather then later.

I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!

ironically, about 15 minutes before i checked the mail, i was having a huge global warming argument with my dad. he doesn't believe in it, but we had snow yesterday and it was 63 today, so clearly something's up with the weather lately.

sane- i agree completely, sometimes focusing on crafting is the only way i can keep it together.

just friends- that would kill me. i hope you can come through it okay <3

Top Wishlist (at the moment):
Bella's gloves, La Push hat, Weasley Sweater, and Eclipse hat. Also, a yarn bowl!

Going to Wizarding World soon, and in need of some swag! A bag to carry stuff that is HP while there would be AMAZING

gala_apples...your dad and I may be of similar ages (47), and I'm skeptical about the GLOBAL WARMING sky-is-falling routine, too!

The reason is pretty simple... I can remember when I was in middle school that I was taught that a SECOND ICE AGE WAS INEVITABLE! My husband (who's from another state) remembers it, too, so I'm fairly certain I didn't just suffer from a whack-job of a science teacher. It was a curriculum, just like the global warming stuff is now. It makes me dubious, at best. (Just watch to see what food is "TERRIBLE" for you this week, then wait a month, and you'll see both a retraction and a new warning about something else, right?!)

Sometimes we can only be responsible stewards of our yards, our bodies, and our planet...and not get too freaky about the latest "truth." Too often, there is an angle.

(I just heard a report about some people trying to get a market focus group together to "rebrand" global warming because it was losing its marketing edge. THAT made me think!)

Maybe my experience will help you find common ground with your dad?!

Yeah, Karmellah, I haven't seen one of mine yet and I'm afraid it got hi-jacked... it was a little graphic. oops.
So how long do we wait before we send out replacements?
