This was my first attempt at something crafty mixed with sewing, I learned the hard way about burning myself on the gluegun.  I was thrilled with how it turned out and shockingly, for the most part, my cats use it for the intended purpose!
Ta da!

They like it so much that they fight over it!

Oh man, this has to be the most glamourous cat accessory I have EVER SEEN. Wisting, WE HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE. I'm seriously impressed :-)

I should have posted earlier!
It's McCalls M5677
this is the website I bought it from
http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5677.htm?tab=hilary_duff&page=2 (mod's please remove if this isn't allowed)

there are 3 options to choose from, but I thought the one I did was the most chic.

Wow! This is really unique and chic! I love the trim on the bottom. Did you construct the whole thing yourself or recover an existing piece?

I constructed it 100% from scratch.  I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures as I went.  It's a McCalls pattern and they have really detailed instructions on how to do everything.

The hardest part was finding pieces of foamboard the size you need!

I made it out of Foam, Foamboard, Fleece, Batting, posterboard, Tons of hot glue! And of course fabric and notions.

This is an amazing cat bed! I think I would steal it from the cats if it was big enough though. nice job, and that's awesome that your cats actually like it!
