Did you use a pattern or just make it up as you went along?  It's pretty cute!

i dont understand how you felted the handle but kept the eyelash yarn fluffy... or does that just happen because the eyelash is synthetic?

is the body eyelash alone, or eyelash and the felted wool knitted together?

(in case you didn't guess, the concept of felting is foreign to me, but i really like the idea of strengthening a bag by felting it)

this pattern really is easier then it looks! I dug it up to share with you guys! The eyelash just stays fluffy, while the wool will felt for you! you can make it bigger, but i made the "clutch" version - Anyway - here is the pattern....

FELTED "FUNNY" MINI CLUTCH

90 yrds worsted wool
1 Skein Funny yarn ( like eyelash type)
Size 10 Needles

With Wool, CO 40 St
work in garter ( k all st ) for 7 rows
Next row - KNIT 13, BIND OFF 14, KNIT 13
Next row - KNIT 13, CAST ON 14, KNIT 13
Work in garter for 4 rows, wool only
Next row - Add funny yarn - work both strands tog. for 20 rows
Work 8 rows garter WOOL ONLY for bottom of bag
Add funny again and work for 20 rows
Work in garter for 4 rows, wool only
Next row, KNIT 13, BIND OFF 14, KNIT 13
Next row, KNIT 13, CAST ON 14, KNIT 13
work in garter for 7 rows
BIND OFF
Fold in half, sew side seams, weave in ends

FELTING -
Fill washer to lowest level with hot water
let washer agitate in its longest cycle ( dont let water run out, may have to repeat several times )
Check for desired size every 10 min
when bag is felted to your satisfaction, Press the water out of bag, and let it spin until the end of the spin cycle
Shape bag and let dry - ALL DONE!!!

(** I found when felting, next time i would use a garment bag, as it seemed a little rough and i had to re-sew some of my seams... this was my 1st felting project and was fun & easy( once i figured out the tricky cast on for the bag handles...) :-) Have fun making this one & show us all pics when you do!! ~ Sammy

That's just too adorable!  Thanks for the pattern.  It would be easy to knit this on circs, right?

hey thanks for the pattern!  I was wondering about the circulars too...what size and length would you suggest using?  And you'd probably have to have some sort of mitered bottom, right?

fabulous job though!
