If you up for it there is a Stitch & Bitch crafting group that I go to in Borders in the centre of town. They meet every sunday from 10-12 in the lower basement next to the craft books.

they are mostly knitters but there are a couple of spinners and quilters there, as well as me doing my beading in the corner (and teaching myself to knit).

Sounds good. I'd didn't realise there was a S'n'B in Borders. I can't make it this week (I'm off to a beginners silk painting workshop!) but will try to catch up with the group next week.

cool - only thing is I wont be there next weeek as im gonna be in Dundee at the Embroiders Guild regional day Roll Eyes

but I will be there the week after (the 10th) - but you are still more than welcome to go along. It's quite a small group but they are a really good laugh. You will probably get on really well with Ginnie the Sock Lady - she only knits socks!

silk painting - sounds intriguing Grin

Embroiders Guild - do you go to the Glasgow group? I have just joined & went to the last workshop. Have a good time at the regional day!

yeah, actually I do. But i have had to miss the last few meeting cause my Beadworkers meetings were on the same days Roll Eyes

I will be going to the next one though.
