That bed spread is just great! Way better then store bought. The curtains even have amazing detail. The crayon holders are a great idea, not to mention she got to help craft her room.

I love the room, as I'm sure your lucky daughter does.  But, call me old fashioned, but what does a 5 year old do with her own, albeit pink, computer?

I had a computer when I was her age, Yeah Tandy, and I played all sorts of learning games on it. It's the internet that is scary, not the computer, at least I think

Wow.  Would you be my mommy?  Or at least let me borrow her grandparents for a few years?  THis is freakin' awesome.  Totally.  Here's hoping I can do half as much for my kids when their old enough.

Wow, I love the room!
I have to find someone who builds me a bed like that, it's awesome!

Ah thanks! You guys are awesome!  Cheesy My dad was rather embarrassed that I posted the bed. He is pretty shy, he kept saying "its just a pattern..." I told him you guys are all crafty and you understand that having a pattern doesn't always mean that it winds up as beautiful as the be did. I wish there was a woodworking section so I could post some of his other stuff, maybe in the housewares. He makes a lot of clocks. I made another great find over the weekend, there was a purple glitter keyboard and mouse at Claire's on clearance. Normal price $45... clearance price: $4.99! So now she has the purple keyboard and mouse. I actually never pay close to full price for anything, even the bed, it was cheaper to buy the wood than to buy her a bed form the store.

And yes, baby boy does have a decorated room, but it isn't finished quite yet and it isn't as flashy as DD's. My dad already has found a couple of bed patterns for baby boy though, we are thinking either a racecar bed, or a pirate ship...!

Where did your dad find the bed pattern?

The Winfield Catalog. I think that you can find it online.
