I received the most beautiful package from Knickertwist yesterday.  I was completely and utterly spoiled, and am in love with each and every lovingly crafted item.

Without further ado, the pictures:
All the goodies together, or as I like to call it, "Still Life with Swap Presents", including a wonderful tartan tea cozy and crocheted scarf.

Artifacts from Gellis Duncan included tiny vials of rue, grave dust, rose petals, lavender, black salt, and sage; an amulet containing an acorn, dried chestnut, and a thimble, and branches of wood.  (Knicker, what kinds of wood are these?  Do you happen to know?)

Gellis' journal (beautifully distressed and made of suede.)

A stunning shadow box of castle Leoch:

Some really amazing Scottish Breakfast tea, which I had a pot of this morning.  I wish I could have shared the pot with the whole swap group, because it was amazingly smooth and delicious; some compressed green tea, a wooden teaspoon, and my own tiny stone circle!

Detail shot of the beautiful crocheted "Love Knot" scarf to keep me warm in the costume shop:

And finally, a kilt pin, which is currently residing on the tartan tea cozy you saw in the first picture:

Knickertwist, I can't thank you enough.  Every single item is beautiful and thoughtful.  Each one has been given a special place in our home.  What a wonderful way to start off the swap gallery!

Whooo hooo! I'm so glad that none of it got busted up during delivery.

The two roots are comfrey (the black and twisty one) and liquorice (the one that looks like a twig). The round 'amulet' thing is a witch's stone or faerie stone. One story is that if you looked through one on a certain day of the year that you'd be able to see faeries.

Wonderful goodies Knickertwist!  So well thought out, too.  Makes me want to haul out my current book I'm reading from the series. I seem to have trouble sticking with it lately.

Great swappage!

WOW - note to self - don't look at gallery until AFTER you've mailed out! I want to replicate some of your!

I need to wait until Friday, payday, to send out... Embarrassed Greedy USPS...

Guess that means I have lots of time to make extras if I get my butt in gear!

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.
