I was trying to think of something cute and inexpensive to add to my nieces' and nephews' Easter baskets this year. I had seen some cute bunny/chick patterns online, so silly me went ahead and bought yarn. When I went back to print the patterns I found that the link wasn't active and for the life of me I couldn't find a decent equivalent online (although I'm sure there are some, I just couldn't locate them at the time). Well I didn't want to give up on my Easter basket vision, so I decided I would take a shot at making Easter bunny plushies for the girls.




I'm really happy with how they turned out. I used I Love This Yarn! from Hobby Lobby. The color is just fantastic and I didn't dislike working with it (I normally have issues with most acrylic yarns splitting). The design is definitely inspired by Peep bunnies, although not everyone I showed it to could see it right away.

Here's a picture of it in the Easter basket, ready to go:
