Everything has been SO awesome so far, including this little guy that came barreling through my mailbox today. He says in his adorable southern accent that he was sent here all the from TX from helenheels.

Isn't he adorable, I love the colors.  Grin

Blair, my resident poppet, loves him too. Here she is giving him kisses. The poor thing, he's being strangled!

Thanks *SO* much helenheels! I hope you love your stuffie as much as I love mine. Smiley

K I'm too excited to wait, I hope musiclady doesn't mindd. Post action photos too, please?!
This is what I made her Cheesy

She told me she liked Chimians, so I looked them up and made my own pattern. She has named her Coco. I made two little hearts to go with it. Smiley

And for her baby, I made a little amigurumi bunny named Bo or "Boo" as her daughter calls him Tongue I used puffy paint for the eyes and nose so it'll be baby safe. And I stuffed it with a plastic bag for squishiness.

and this was my extra. I used this pattern,. Instead of crocheting a flower I made one from fabric Smiley

so. i've had a rough time of it lately. my live-in boyfriend might kill me if he knew i was posting this information, but... he's not on here, so i'm gonna. he was diagnosed with cancer in january. anyway, at first i was researching everything i could find about his cancer in my "free" time. then, i was just trying to be quiet while he slept. these craft swaps were perfect! i could do something fun and challenging... quietly... to occupy my mind when it wasn't appropriate to clean (i'm a LOUD cleaner). so, when i signed up for this swap, he was just sleeping all the time. just after i was assigned a partner, we started going to the emergency room regularly and staying in the hospital for days and days. i would stay with him, of course, except when i was at work. it was all very scary. this is all on top of taking on all the chores, bills, medical appts, work, etc. i'm not complaining or making an excuse. trust me. anyway, i've been feeling pretty exhausted and down lately. i was updating my mother on all of this over the phone yesterday as i got home from work. i got the mail and my stuffie had arrived. before even opening the front door, i ripped open the box (my mother was talking). i saw my stuffie in all it's glory and literally started crying! it's beautiful! and i can't possibly tell you how great it made me feel! so, thank you all... moderator, partner (especially) and participants for making this and these swaps possible!! it was EXACTLY what i needed!!!

the story of the BEST STUFFIE ever!:

Seraphina_de_Sangre writes:
i found this little guy wandering in the woods behind my house.
he thought it would be a good idea to try and eat my poor little tomato plant
floundering on my back porch. instead of letting him continue to demolish my sorry little garden, i decided to send him your way. maybe he could eat your vegetables instead...
or maybe you could eat him, lol!!

so cute and so funny!! i'm in love with my swap partner!!
here are more reasons why:

have you EVER seen anything cuter??

i don't even know how to use a sewing machine, much less knit or crochet!!
how did she do this??

and she was just guessing, because i tried not to be restrictive with my requests, but this are my TWO FAVORITE colors TOGETHER beautifully!! perfectly!!

and, just because i wanted you to experience the full joy in every detail of THE BEST STUFFIE EVER, here's a belly shot:

thank you! thank you! THANK YOU!!!!!

helenheels, so sorry to hear that your boyfriend has cancer. My son was diagnosed on Dec 28 2008 with lukemia. I know all about how hard it can be on the whole family. So glad to hear that your stuffie made you feel all warm and cuddely. I also know about keeping your mind and hands occupied while you sit around. Hope things go well for your boyfriend.
